SECURING THE BORDERS (Father ordained boundaries)

(Isa 49:15-17 NRSV) Can a woman forget her nursing child, or show no compassion for the child of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me. Your builders outdo your destroyers, and those who laid you waste go away from you.

This passage is about the Walls of Zion. God was responding to the desperate cry of His people who “felt” forsaken and forgotten, -living in the midst of devastation and destruction.

As I was meditating on these passages, the phrase, "YOUR WALLS” are ever before me" jumped out at me. I began to see solid and cracked walls in the same picture. I saw them as spiritual walls -unseen to the natural eye. He said, "You can have both kinds at the same time -good and bad, cracked and solid". At first, I didn’t get it. I looked for "walls" (in Holman's Dictionary), which led me to architecture where it spoke about the public and private walls in the kingdom. In scripture, the natural is always a type and shadow of the spiritual. I suddenly saw where He was going with the train of thought. The solid walls were built through fear. The cracked and broken ones were from failed relationships.

PUBLIC WALLS

The greatest walls were the solid Fortress- CITY (public) WALLS …built and maintained by the LORD of the kingdom. The city walls were for protection and preservation. Neither friend nor foe could enter without permission. Who is the Lord of your kingdom?

(Isa 60:18 NRSV) Violence shall no more be heard in your land, devastation or destruction within your borders; you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise. Josh 6:1 NOW JERICHO [a fenced town with high walls] was tightly closed because of the Israelites; no one went out or came in. AMP

AND PRIVATE WALLS

Deut 6:6-9 And these words which I am commanding you this day shall be [first] in your [own] minds and hearts; [then] You shall whet and sharpen them so as to make them penetrate, and teach and impress them diligently upon the [minds and] hearts of your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets (forehead bands) between your eyes. And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house and on your gates. AMP

PRIVATE WALLS relate to the family structure where Godly character traits and identity are established. If families had obeyed and written them on the doorpost of their homes, we would not be having this conversation. The private walls have become cracked at the foundation like the person in “Please Hear What I Am Not Saying”.

The family's responsibility is to provide instruction, loving care, and convey wisdom -most importantly spiritual principles for a successful life. If God is not at the center of all family effort, everyone becomes dysfunctional -living on a weak or cracked foundation.

BUILDING BLOCKS TO STRONGHOLDS

Strongholds are opinions or perceptions -they can be built on truth or lies. Remember the enemy uses the words and thoughts to get his message across. He works to build walls that separate us from God’s love. If we entertain and embrace the lies, they become thoughts, which subtly become strongholds. Strongholds seem to be ever speaking to us. We see an example of a confident stronghold in Obadiah. But the Word of God has a stronger and more powerful voice. Plant it in your heart and wield it as a hammer to demolish those strongholds.

Back to the Garden of Eden, the family’s failure to meet the need for approval and acceptance has negatively affect self-love which blocks or delays destiny. The people we are trying to please are usually the ones who wound us the most. Wounds from those we care about are more devastating especially in our younger years because they cause confusion and create trust issues. Psa 55:9-16 NRSV -speaks of betrayal, not by an outsider, by a close friend. When things come against you, you must immediately deal with the feelings and the wounds and forgive. (see forgiveness section)

*Rejection *Parent's showing favoritism *Difference in personality *Forced learning - opposite from your natural tendency *Abuse -emotional, mental, or physical *Premature death of parent or divorce *Prenatal rejection *Or a host of other things

CITY WALLS
We use these blocks to build walls around the city instead of allowing the Father to guard and protect us. The inability to trust, prompts us to become our own WATCHMEN. What a dangerous thing to do! Distorted perspectives prevent us from knowing the difference between friends and foes. To be on the "SAFE SIDE", we let NO ONE in …not even God. Someone once said, "I looked for the enemy and the ENEMY WAS ME"! We become our own prisoner.

(Isa 42:22 NRSV) But this is a people robbed and plundered, all of them are trapped in holes and hidden in prisons (houses); they have become a prey with no one to rescue, a spoil with no one to say, "Restore!"

When we attempt to be the LORD of our life, it involves the sin of pride. Satan once said, "And I will make myself like the Most High". This not only grieves the Spirit of God, but also removes us from His Shelter and Protection. Our efforts for self-preservation and protection are in vain.

TEARING DOWN STRONGHOLDS
We must acknowledge the walls and strongholds exist, and then tear them down in the name of Jesus with God’s Word in your mouth. The Father will come in and repair or rebuild the cracks in our personal character/walls through diligence and obedience.

When family and other outside influences fail to provide a solid foundation, God Himself will come in and rebuild it. The one He will provide will be solid because Jesus is the cornerstone.

THINGS TO DO

Psalm 127:1 …unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.

See from God's point of view -look at the walls and foundations in your life. Are they solid or broken? Are they your walls or His? Who is the Lord of your kingdom? What kind of blocks were used? Blocks to approval or acceptance? Did you build them or did He?

Identify the walls the self-built walls. Acknowledge and release the feelings that caused you to build them. Forgive those who contributed to the walls. Ask Jesus to be Lord of the Kingdom. Tear down all the walls that were not built by God. Ask Him to come and build walls of protection for you. Find scriptures about God being a Refuge, a Stronghold, and a Rock.

Tear down your walls and allow Him to be your refuge and protection. He is worthy and trustworthy.

Bent out of shape? Or Naturally Bent?

A quick side note–this is an excerpt from my book. So, it may seem that you missed something somewhere. I am using it as an introduction to a thread on the ‘Nsync Open Forum.

Have you ever heard someone say, "I really got bent out of shape" as they shared an incident that ended in an emotional outburst. What does that mean and why did it happen? At some point, we are going to discuss the other possibilities behind these episodes. Listen with your heart you may see yourself.

Most of us quote the King James Version of Prov 22:6, however the translation missed the deeper meaning in its translation. Train up a child in the way he is bent or gifted.

Prov 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go [and in keeping with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old he will not depart from it. [Eph 6:4; 2 Tim 3:15.] AMP (Hebrew rendering of WAY -1869. dark, daw-rak'; a prim. root; to tread; by impl. to walk; also to string a bow (by treading on it in bending):--archer, bend, come, draw, go (over), guide, lead (forth), thresh, tread (down), walk.)

'Way' in the Hebrew is broad in scope. Scriptures also refer to a child as an arrow. For this particular writing, we are using a tree.

Each child comes into the world with a natural bent -leaning toward the supernatural light. He has a natural bent for learning, processing information, spiritual gift and type of profession.

Natural Bent or Gift

We know that children are born with gifts and purpose. It is the parent’s responsibility to discern them early and lovingly nurture and develop them.

Life and circumstances begin to apply pressure on the child. "Aw come on; just bend a little, be flexible." Well-meaning people begin to force the little tree away from the divine light. It begins to grow away from its natural tendency. Before long, it becomes frustrated and bent out of shape.

The Father wants to be involved in raising His children. Tune in - listen closely, most of the time our desires and preconceived ideas speak louder than the "still small voice of the Lord". When your emotions speak louder than the still small voice -sit beside the still waters, quiet your soul, and connect to hear the Word of the Lord for your child.

Rare and Precious

Like trees, children are precious and irreplaceable -deep inside they know what they are ...at first, they cannot verbalize or comprehend it. When that which we KNOW in our HEART conflicts with our actions or thinking -we feel miserable, depressed, despondent, hopeless, dejected, and unhappy. The pressure creates internal confusion and external rebellion. Unless we are in touch with the Father heart on the matter, we cannot figure out what is wrong. Our heart holds onto the dreams and the possibilities, but life experiences begin to stifle the hope.

Prov 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.

Don’t Smother The Roots!

Once I had some soil hauled in to place it around the trunk of the tree in front yard. I wanted to plant a flowerbed, which required building the dirt level up about 3 inches. When I told Audrey (my friend) about it, she said, "Oh no, too much dirt will smother the roots of the tree and it will die".

Too much dirt (damaging relationships and opinions) will stifle and smother the life out of our roots.

Confusion And Chaos

That which pours down from the crown of the tree either corrupts or brings healing to the branches and the roots. What has been poured down on you? Sometimes our parents cannot allow us to be who we are because they were not allowed to be who they are. I see many parents trying to live out their dreams through their children. We cannot accept others until we can accept ourselves.

There Is Hope

Not only do some feel "BENT OUT OF SHAPE", but "cut down" at the root. Adults and children alike must be able to seize and hold onto a hope beyond what they can see or hear. “Hope thou in the root". If you were not rooted in your identity and purpose there can be a divine exchange.

"For there is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its shoots will not cease. Though its root grows old in the earth, and its stump dies in the ground, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put forth branches like a young plant. (Job 14:7 NRSV)

I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being (heart) with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in LOVE. (Eph 3:16, 17 NRSV)

Rom 11:17-19 But if some of the branches were broken off, while you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them to share the richness [of the root and sap] of the olive tree,

Isa 11:1 AND THERE shall come forth a Shoot out of the stock of Jesse [David's father], and a Branch out of his roots shall grow and bear fruit. [Isa 4:2; Matt 2:23; Rev 5:5; 22:16.] AMP

Second Generation

We are the second generation of branches growing out from the stump of Jesse through Jesus Christ. The roots feed the vine; this brings hope. Having beheld the scent, the once dead roots bud and bring forth branches like a young plant. If we could see into the heart of people, there would be stress rings like those in trees?

Though we are grafted into the Tree of Life through Jesus Christ, we still have memories of the wounding, and trauma of the old tree. Our mind keeps trying to tap into and feed off the old roots (the barriers to wholeness). Most of the time these old thoughts just rumble through our mind as they please –continuing to influence every facet of our life. We must be very deliberate in catching those lies –they have no food unless we give them the fruit of our lips. Later we will discuss the mind and renewal process – the Word and principles of God, which brings life to us, brings a sure death to the roots.

I want to provoke you to think about the fruit in your own life. A seed produces after its own kind. If we do like the fruit in our life and do not want our seed to produce after our likeness, we must do something different from what we have been doing. What are you modeling for the children who are watching you? What was modeled for you? Are you "bent out of shape"? Though your dreams may have been frustrated, they are still alive -in need of the living water.

Jesus, The Balm of Gilead

Professionals use a tree wounding ointment to promote rapid growth and limit scarring. Apply the Balm of Gilead to your wounds and be healed.

Jer 8:22-9:12 Is there no balm in Gilead, Is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery For the health of the daughter of my people? NKJV

Jer 51:8 8 Babylon has suddenly fallen and been destroyed. Wail for her! Take balm for her pain; Perhaps she may be healed. NKJV

Yep, That’s Me

Some of you probably are saying, "Yes, that's me". Examine your life. Are you in planted in the right place, doing the right thing at the right time? Make the commitment to do what it takes to accomplish these things. Have the courage to move toward your destiny.

(Mat 18:3 NIV) And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus was speaking to adults in this passages –this obviously means that there is a way to recover from the damage when we were children.

Ps 92:12-14 The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, UPRIGHT, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible]. Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God. [Growing in grace] they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap [of spiritual vitality] and [rich in the] verdure [of trust, love, and contentment]. AMP

Jer 17:8 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall NOT BE ANXIOUS AND FULL OF CARE in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit. AMP

These scriptures are wonderful pictures to get into your spirit. When you feel a little bent out of shape, bowed over or anxious –just ask the Lord, what’s wrong with this picture?

Teach The Way They Learn -My Soapbox

Isa 28:23-29 Listen to me; listen as I plead! Does a farmer always plow and never sow? Is he forever cultivating the soil and never planting it? Does he not finally plant his seeds for dill, cumin, wheat, barley, and spelt, each in its own section of his land? The farmer knows just what to do, for God has given him understanding. He doesn't thresh all his crops the same way. A heavy sledge is never used on dill; rather, it is beaten with a light stick. A threshing wheel is never rolled on cumin; instead, it is beaten softly with a flail. Bread grain is easily crushed, so he doesn't keep on pounding it. He threshes it under the wheels of a cart, but he doesn't pulverize it. The LORD Almighty is a wonderful teacher, and he gives the farmer great wisdom. NLT

The Teacher, The Farmer and The Baby Corn

One day I was thinking about the heart of the Father. It is so awesome that He works with and teaches each of us individually. We are so different. I see different books touting the proper way to raise children, but without the Holy Spirit teaching us, we cannot succeed at anything. This book was stirring in my heart when I found those passages. It says that the LORD almighty is a wonderful teacher -He gives the farmer great wisdom. I will not go into the fullness of the revelation, except to say, the Lord compared a child to a “good seed” sown into a field. If the child is born to be corn, it should be raised to be corn. Ask the Father what your child is. We cannot treat or teach everyone in the same way. This book follows the principles in these passages.

Matt 13:52 52 He said to them, Therefore every teacher and interpreter of the Sacred Writings who has been instructed about and trained for the kingdom of heaven and has become a disciple is like a householder who brings forth out of his storehouse treasure that is new and [treasure that is] old [the fresh as well as the familiar]. AMP

Nightmares About School

I used to have dreams about being back in high school, dragging my little ones from class to class. Now that was a nightmare! The structured classroom situations horrified me. The dreams stopped when I discovered my unique way of learning -wow I can learn without the pressure. I also used to “freak out” over taking tests. I used this scripture when I went in to take a test. Other key life scriptures about learning are in Part VII.

John 14:26 He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. AMP

Getting Knowledge Can Be Fun

The result of learning is knowledge. Most of us do not object to knowledge but to the process, which seems frustrating and painful when you do not learn like everyone else. Frustration or any other emotion stifles the learning process and can eventually lock one out from any desire to learn. There are ways to get knowledge and have fun doing it. The results of the quizzes help the teacher and the student understand one another.

This information will not work unless teacher gets beyond the blocks, preconceived ideas, and learning challenges to ensure the information is really getting over to the students. I really encourage the session leader tune in to the students. Care enough to discover how they receive and process information. The workbook does most of the work, but every once in a while you will notice the ones who need it the most will "check out" for a while. Remember some people are very easily distracted by noise in the room. Others are extremely troubled - their thoughts will take them out of the room into the place of the pain or confusion. While you will find those who will not participate, some would if they knew how. There is a difference -it is teacher’s responsibility to determine which is which.

The learning process is accelerated when all the senses are stimulated because the material is being reinforced without seeming redundant. The material appeals to visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. Trust me students are always learning but it may be what the class clown is teaching instead of the instructor.

Get Their Attention and Keep It!

The way we learn, comprehend, remember and perceive communication (written, verbally or otherwise) applies to our spiritual growth as well. How can we learn without an anointed (preacher) teacher? Spiritual principles are not learned through the intellect, but some personality and learning styles require the material to be interesting and relative before it gets and keeps their attention.

Turn to the Scripture

I have provided scripture references in a number of places. Be sure you turn to them in your own bible. They are more memorable when you see them in the Word. It is also a good idea to write them down and underline them in your bible. Reading and writing them reinforce them in memory.

Heb 4:12 For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. AMP

My Soap Box -Success in learning

By now, you can tell this subject is one of my passions. We will discuss how for some the process can create conflict and chaos. Misunderstandings and criticisms about learning styles, intelligence types, and brain tendencies have significant long-term spiritual, social, and economic impact; they stifle the learning potential in individuals. Understanding in these concepts brought clarity and reduced the confusion in my life ultimately making learning not only tolerable but also pleasurable. We are born to achieve and succeed; otherwise, we become hopeless and confused.

Troublemakers or Brilliant?

Most people who have been labeled troublemakers and rebels have a history of learning challenges. In reality, beneath the layers of projected failure, words of criticism and feelings of low self-worth, some of them are brilliant.

These challenges have been a major "sore" spot for our family. We have had many confrontations with school officials and spent hours counseling with psychologists. I could get on my "Soap Box" more than I already have, but I won't. In 1997, I began researching ADD and ADHD because a family member had the symptoms.

Give Me A Break!

I became grieved and frustrated as I watched a very bright boy become withdrawn and introspective because people acted like there was something "wrong" with him. I am sure that the Father become frustrated when people tell his children there is something wrong with them. Honestly, the problem is not always the student. Truthfully, in this case there was something "wrong" with them -nothing that some training and compassion would not have fixed. I will not go into the medical and physiological differences here; I will just say just that ADD and ADHD people are right-brain learners and the typical learning environment is pro left-brain. Give me a break, if they could learn differently they would… it would save them a lot of grief and heartache.

Many people want to dismiss Right Brain -Left Brain information as a bunch of hoop-la, but those “in the know” -know It has a very significant impact not only learning but on the natural and spiritual connections to creativity.

Fire at Will?

Normal left brain/right brain processing and tendencies differ from the way people with ADD and ADHD process thoughts. Some people have physical (neurological and physiological) conditions, which actually short circuit some of the messages sent from the right brain to the left-brain. The more frustrated these people (children and adults) become the greater and more pronounced the misfires much like corroded spark plugs. Not all ADD/ADHD diagnoses are accurate, but there are people who cannot "just choose fire at will" to process their thoughts the way others do. Many of them are viewed as being hardheaded and rebellious - misfits. They are indeed WIRED differently and sadly, many just give up. See “Who Do You Think You Are?”

Focusing on the negative attributes of this diagnosis by judging, criticizing, labeling, and belittling actually perpetuates the problem. These issues had not discovered when I was in school; otherwise, I would have better understood my challenges.

These people -children and adults have some very positive characteristics, but they require a different learning style and atmosphere in order to thrive and succeed.

This information in the book is not meant to diagnose or label anyone. My desire is to match people's tendencies and learning styles for maximized success. The following situations stifle creativity and learning. If you observe any of them in operation do your best to address or rid yourself of it.

Time Is On My Side (art) (c) 1/11/07

The song, “Time Is On My Side” has kept playing in my spirit, not the one by the Rolling Stones but the one by Jesus, the Cornerstone.

Lately I have been thinking more and more about TIME, especially because of the dreams that I had at the end of 2005. I grew one year older in December, then came the New Year. However, what I am sensing has much more to do with the spiritual realm of time than the natural. Most of us can sense that TIME is indeed on a collision course with ETERNITY. For those in the kingdom this can seem bittersweet. We look around us and see so many lost and hurting people. It seems there is too much to do and too little time in which to do it. And yes, we must work while it is still day, but we must work from a position of DOMINION not fear that TIME is running out. We must be sensitive to the times and seasons we are in ...making the most of time (redeeming the time), because the days are evil. Eph 5:15-16 NRSV paraphrased

After the Lord began to work in me for the piece, “Time Is On My Side”, I began to sense it is a word for 2007 and 2008. I was compelled to bring out the TIME collection, ponder, and focus on them.

Time Is On My Side

The piece could easily fit into the Harvest Time or End Time Collection, but I really felt it was to be a part of the Time Collection because it was so influenced by the visions and dreams about time of late. I will share a bit about the piece and then the insight that influenced it. Just after 9/11, I had a vision of Time running upon people suddenly and overtaking them –it was as if time was traveling more rapidly toward a collision course with eternity, yet at the same time it continued seemingly as the same pace in the natural.

As I created this piece, all sorts of things were racing through my spirit. One thing that is difficult to explain or understand is that not everything that is in these art pieces can be seen. I have felt that I would do a piece on the harp and bowl and still may, but I sensed that these were also elements of this piece as well. You may notice a number of my pieces have lightning, which is symbolic of God’s power and intervention. If it fit, water (the Spirit of revelation) and eyes would be in each one

I felt the Angel of the Lord descending the stairs, closer to the worship (harp) and incense (prayer).
The incense is rising to the nostrils of God and the lightning is a prelude to the Angel pouring out fire from the altar into the earth.
I also sensed the influence of the eleventh-hour workers realizing the urgency of gathering the harvest.
When the Father says, IT’S TIME the scythe is readily available. Matthew 13:39 says that there are reaper angels who will come and separate the wheat from the tares.

I know that that seems so contrary to what many might think. In the natural, time is indeed not on our side, but once we are in Christ we are not bound to the natural in any way. The Ancient of Days is our Father and He has dominion over time. In this season, the Lord is releasing a supernatural comprehension of dominion over TIME. Years ago, the Lord said, “If you can see it, you can have it”. This is precisely what He does through the art –He provides us a visual upon which to meditate, so that we can indeed see and have what we see.

It has been almost a year since I had the extraordinary dreams about dominion over TIME. In the dreams, I remember saying, “I get it, I see it”. But, when I woke up, I could not say it. I still cannot put the revelation that I experienced about it into words. I do know that since then, every time I hear someone say, “It takes time to accomplish something”; the remarks just grate on my spirit. Righteous unrest and indignation rise up in me such that I can hardly keep quiet about. When your mind cannot confidently articulate something in understandable terms, you may as well not bring the argument. Even now as I bring this subject to light, if you do not tap in and just soak it up with your spirit you will still not get it. Even then, like me you may have to watch it unfold. One thing we must remember is that revelation is not revelation until one is walking in it. I cannot explain gravity, or many other things that are absolutes in the universe, but I see them work each day.

Throughout this past year, I have had a number of experiences that were suddenlies. I have not seen consistencies of such incidences, but have begun to see them with more frequency. As I ponder the unlimited capacity of the spirit, I see more and more possibilities.

I know many of you look at situations, which never seem to change; they just look hopeless. But, listen, we are in a season of acceleration. We get what we expect; we must stop expecting according to what we have seen in the past.

Eccl 3:11 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. NIV

The writer of Ecclesiastes states that God has planted eternity in man’s heart and mind, yet he cannot fathom it. I believe that our spirit however can. While many people are saying, God, hurry up”, they do not realize that the end from the beginning is within them. Before the foundations, our spirits were with and in Him –now He is in us. In us is His timelessness as well as dominion over time. Our minds simply cannot comprehend the dominion that has been restored back to us, so we talk ourselves right out of it.

I do not yet know the extent of our dominion over time –I believe that much of it depends on the motives of the heart and not crossing lines where we are affecting the wills of others. I do know that there are some clear-cut things within His will and purpose for RIGHT NOW IN THIS TIME. Use NOW Faith and instead of fearing time, say –“Time Is On My Side and begin to work the dominion that you have over it.

It is TIME for the hearts of the fathers to turn to the children. Mal 4:6
It is TIME for us to realize there are no limitations or impossibilities in the spirit realm. Matt 17:20
It is TIME for us to become instruments through which the Lord can exact vengeance on His enemies - Isa 41:15
It is TIME for us to STOP saying, yet four months and then comes harvest. John 4:35
It is TIME to seek the Lord until He rains righteousness. Hosea 10:12

We see numerous examples of human beings circumventing time, yet somehow we do not believe that it can happen to us.

2 Kings 7:1 THEN ELISHA said, Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour will sell for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel in the gate of Samaria! AMP

This passage in 2 Kings was at a time when Samaria and its inhabitants were in dire straights. Then Elisha comes and says –“by this time tomorrow things are going turn around totally”. We hear this, and we want to believe it, but it seems too good to be true. I want you to notice that Elisha had what he said. Had he not said it, I wonder how long the famine would have continued.

Josh 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the nation took vengeance upon their enemies. Is not this written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of the heavens and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. AMP

This is an astounding example of time actually standing still because a righteous man prayed. Even today, scientist cannot reconcile the loss of that day. I have heard many stories where people arrived at a destination in such a short amount of time that it seemed as though time stood still.

2 Kings 20:9-10 And Isaiah said, This is the sign to you from the Lord that He will do the thing He has promised: shall the shadow [denoting the time of day] go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?

In Revelation, Alpha and Omega are used describe God or Christ. (John 1:1) In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:14) And the Word became flesh and lived among us… “Alpha and omega” refers to God’s sovereignty and eternal nature. It is beyond human comprehension for the beginning and the end- the first and last to occupy the same space of time. But, we must remember that the Word says, Christ in us, the hope of Glory. If or since He is the beginning and the end –all that is in between and since He has dominion over all things, then so do we.

Embracing the Year 5768-the Year of the New Beginning!-Chuck D. Pierce

For years, I have always taken the Hebrew calendar and looked at the meaning of the numbers and prayed for my year to reflect His year! When we are serving the Lord and seeking His Kingdom plan, I believe each year brings new challenges and new joys for each of us. The Hebrew number system has always helped me as I focus each year on decreeing the "best" the Lord has for me and my family and those connected with me. I do not think you have to understand the Hebrew year to know the will of God. However, in Hebrew, numbers have word meanings, which have picture meanings, which have sounds. This brings a fuller perspective than just saying we have entered the year 2008. The Hebraic year 5768, which will encompass the Gregorian calendar's, Year of the Lord 2008 A.D., is the "The Year of Samekh Chet!" That means we are coming into "The Year of the Full Circle of Life--A New Beginning Is Yours!"

Time is an interesting concept. God is not in time as we are in time. Our Father has access to every moment in our lives from beginning to end as though they were the present. By the Holy Spirit, we can actually access those times in our pasts when we felt abandoned, abused, betrayed, fearful, happy, fulfilled, or any other emotion or condition. Not only can the believer be forgiven for the past, he/she can also travel back in time with God, see Him as "a very present help" in the past, and redeem those past times that the enemy wanted to use for evil.

Stepping Into Time

Imagine for a moment that all of eternity is represented by a large piece of paper. This is where God is: unlimited by time and space. Now draw a line on that piece of paper that represents time with a beginning and an end. This line begins when God instituted time at creation, and it will end when God says, "Time's up!" Man lives on the line, while God can step in and out of time according to His purposes and plans. God sees all of time at once and doesn't have to wait for anything to happen; all is present for Him. This is a simplified explanation of a complex idea, but it works.

We, however, must learn to respond to Him within time. We are called to represent Him as ambassadors in our generation. The decisions and actions we take now affect three generations ahead. Therefore, when we know how the Lord wants us to respond and we do so, His glory infiltrates the earth and we see Him change our atmosphere and environment. Because of God's position relative to time, He can--and often does--seem to answer our prayers before they have been uttered!

God has chosen us as the necessary link to bring His will from Heaven to earth. He wants us to commune with Him, listen carefully to His voice, gain prophetic revelation, and decree that revelation into the earth. This will unlock miracles and release His blessings. Once we hear God, we can intercede. We can also prophesy. Prophecy is declaring His mind and His heart. When we receive prophetic revelation, we need to decree the prophetic revelation and then the atmosphere into which we decree goes on "Heaven's time" instead of "earth time."

A Season Of War!

Issachar was the tribe that knew how to move into the new. They were a tribe that understood times and seasons. Consequently, I have tried to present that tribe in the earth today so God's children would know the times we are living in and what we should do to ready ourselves to advance in the earth. We entered a new season of war in the Hebraic year 5762.

Before I share on the year ahead, I felt the necessity of reviewing the last several years. This will give you a good record of how we have gotten to where we are today. By looking at the Hebraic numbers, we can perceive the revelation we need to decree a new thing. Once we decree a thing, we then watch to see God's will manifest. Revelation builds! Revelation overcomes the gates of hell! Revelation gives us the keys to the Kingdom.

Because I could foresee the war season ahead of its onset, I wrote The Future War of the Church to help God's people get prepared with the mindset of the season. This season is very real to most of us now. Here is a summary from a Hebraic perspective of the season we have been living in:

5762/2001-2002: The Beginning of Wars for 7 Years. This was ushered in with the tragedy of September 11, when the World Trade Center was destroyed by terrorist activities. This war over God's covenant plan in the earth began. The war over passing the mantle to the next generation began.

5763/2002-2003: A Sabbath Day Rest Year--A time of increasing faith; a year to ride the bull. Changing economic structures began and will fully manifest over the next five years.

5764/2003-2004: The Year of Samekh Hei! A year filled with secrets, mysteries and surprises; a year to run with the horses, gain new strength and roar louder than the roaring lion.

5765/2004-2005: A Year to Circle, Surround and Plunder the Enemy's Camp. A year of violent praise! A year of hurricanes! A time the wind of Heaven brought change in the earth.

5766/2005-2006: The Year of Samekh Vav! A year of staking your claim in the midst of the whirlwind. A time to overthrow old mindsets that have held you captive!

5767/2006-2007: The Year of Samekh Zayin! The year of seven is always a year of completion and fulfillment. This was a time to finish strong. The number seven, Zayin, is a sword with a crown. How you have overcome in the past season causes you to receive favor for your future! The sword is the Word so we are living in a time of the prophetic decrees!

Hebrews equate the passage of time as the life cycle. The Hebrews saw man as participating in two time dimensions. One "age" of time was temporal. We were placed in nature and we interact with the laws of science around us. The other dimension of time was an age to come. 1 Corinthians 2:6-8 says, "However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."

Wisdom is available that God has stored for a time such as this. We can get to a place to gain wisdom that no enemy of hell has access to. From a Hebraic mindset, events that occurred through life created smaller styles of review of a bigger picture of life. When one summed up all of these smaller temporal cycles, the finite age was determined. We are living in a year of "summing up." We are not just living from year to year, but when you look at the season as a whole, you see the Lord doing something in our generation. He is preparing us to move more quickly and advance in Kingdom purpose in days ahead.

The Kingdom Of God Is Moving Forward!

"The Kingdom is ruled by grace and love--not by rules, regulations and laws."

Kingdom life in the earth realm was used to help individuals understand the Kingdom of God. There are two terms throughout the Bible that we must embrace and understand: the “Kingdom of God" and the "Kingdom of Heaven”. Anyone who willingly subjects themselves to the sovereign rule of a Holy God is aligned with Kingdom Principles. The "Kingdom of Heaven" represents the rule that God asserts on the earth at any given period in time. This is what links Kingdom understanding to time. John the Baptist, Jesus, and the Apostles all announced that the Kingdom of God was "at hand”. As a matter of fact, the Lord said, "the Kingdom of God is within you." If this is so, then when the King moves, we must move with Him.

The manifested rule of God on the earth is ever-maturing. The Kingdom of God represents God's rule in the earth realm. The King is moving us from "just going to church" to understanding His Kingdom in our territory. He is bringing us into a place of dominion, occupation, and ruling with Him in the spheres and places He has assigned us. Jesus taught so much on the Kingdom. The Kingdom is GOOD NEWS! Kingdom life was proclaimed throughout the three years that we have record of Jesus ministering in the earth realm, with His authority.

The Kingdom is NOT based on needs, since "the poor will always be with us”. Jesus gave us a responsibility to work with the poor, orphans, and widows, but on the other hand, He also showed us the necessity to lavishly worship Him as Mary did in John 10.

The Kingdom cannot be controlled by civil government. Through the ages, civil government has made the attempt to govern and rule God's government in the earth. However, the Kingdom is not based on worldly patterns. Another important fact that we must all recognize is that we cannot comprehend the Kingdom by our natural mind. The mind is at enmity with God and longs to be conformed to the world around it. However, as we renew our minds, we break out of worldly conformity and move into seeing Kingdom life in the midst of the societal structures that are molding us.

The Kingdom cannot be obtained by ambition. The exciting thing about the Kingdom is that it cannot be POSTPONED! The Kingdom is filled with power. Over these last two decades, we have seen Kingdom government for the next season of God in the earth realm.

A Kingdom people understand Kingdom grace. The Kingdom is ruled by grace and love--not by rules, regulations and laws. God has appointed Kingdom administrators for every age. We find those gifts listed in Ephesians 4:11-14.

We Are Moving From Glory To Glory--The Year 5768

You are being positioned to make a transition into the next realm of glory. Here are eight key issues that we can look forward to as we enter the Hebraic year 5768 and mature through the year ahead! First of all, the last two years actually come together to form this year's momentum. The two symbols of Vav and Zayin come together to form the symbol for Chet. In other words, the staking your claim and the sword with a crown actually join together to produce your new beginning.

You will begin something new! Even if you refused to shift into a visible new dimension, your present state is your new state. With God, He will meet you where you are and cause you to start new if you yield! You can catch up quickly and gain momentum even if you have resisted change. If you do not yield, your new place will be your old cycle with the old structures reinforced seven times.

The number eight is always linked with "new beginnings!" This Hebrew word is linked with life and being hot! We are entering into a year where we must choose to be hot, filled with passion, so we conceive our future! Choose the fire and the zeal of God!

1. This is a year of manifestation! There will be a physical manifestation of what you have been watching and waiting to see!

2. You can supernaturally transcend your limitations and begin your new era.

3. The land and the Heavens align to create a new Divine Presence in your atmosphere.

4. "Dominion" will be the key word for this year! Rule where you have been positioned. Rule or watch the "wild beasts" gain ground in your land.

5. This is a year that God's people will have great authority over their enemies. The nations against you can be driven out of your land! All squatters must go from your inheritance or they gain "squatters rights" and their encroachment will remain another season. Land is equated to the state of our mind. Therefore, this is the year to transform the mind so we have a new victory mentality in the war season we are living in.

6. Subdue your "animal impulses." Find your place of deliverance and do not let any wild beast enter your highway. Be aggressive to overthrow all poverty mentality! "A lion is on the road, I will hide myself," should not be your theme. Stand firm and face any transgression so you can move down your path! Isaiah 35 is a key for us this year.

7. Exodus 23 is also key this year. God forms His covenant with us to advance into our future destiny. This applies to families, regions and nations. If we have forgotten and rejected His covenant in areas, that will not be a part of our future. We must return and review our covenant roots and realign now!

8. Fasten yourself to the Lord. Don't let the enemy's hook drag you off the stage of your future! Break your orphan spirit! Return to a place of innocence! The secret place calls you forth. Stay in the secret place so you can be sent forth on key missions. The book of John and all of his Epistles are key for our transition this year.

I am writing this article earlier than usual. However, I started thinking of the year ahead at Passover time this past year. I left early one morning and came to the office to seek the Lord. While I was meditating on where we had come from since September 2001 and the year of seven, and looking at various Biblical words linked with the number eight, my wife, Pam, called to share a dream.

You should first know that Pam's favorite Scripture passage is Ephesians 5:8-16, "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says: 'Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.' See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil."

To redeem means to "buy back" or "to be released from prison." We have been in a buying--back season. This year we must receive the prize of our battles!

This is the dream she shared: "I woke up slowly this morning, to the sound of singing birds, and it was as though I was walking through a curtain that divided the dream world from the waking world. As I lay there, I began remembering my dream: 'I was with a group of travelers, none of whom I recognized, but I knew they were important to me. We were told we had to take a trip, but we had no luggage, tickets or itinerary. We were standing in a hallway similar to one you might see in an airport, waiting for our departure. Suddenly, this strong wind began to blow down the hallway (wind tunnel) and push us toward the open end of the corridor. As we got closer to the end of the corridor, some kind of portal opened up, but it wasn't like what you see in the science fiction show, Stargate! The light was warm, and as we entered the portal area, we were disembodied and transported to another place. Strangely, the other place didn't look any different than the place we had just been. However, it was not the same place. We were inside a building, made mostly of glass.

We all knew we had to fly to get where we needed to go. Well, none of us knew how to fly, but we just took off and started flying around the lobby. The people in the lobby were amazed and started reaching for us, saying they wanted to fly, too. We knew we needed more momentum to get to where we needed to be, so we landed softly, turned around, and got a running start before launching ourselves from a mini trampoline in the cafe area of the lobby. Instantly, we were outside the building, in a country setting, and we knew our mission: rescue a captive in the nearby village and bring him/her back with us.

The mission itself is still vague, but I remember what happened when we were ready to return. One of the villagers wanted to go with us but knew it wasn't possible, so he gave each of us a tiny jewel case. Mine was a small, gold case encrusted with pearls. Inside the case were bits and pieces of broken jewelry: pearls, gold beads, crystals. Each case had a word on it. The word on the outside of mine was "Simplify”. We thanked the one who gave us the gifts, then turned to launch back into the sky for the return trip. That's when the birds woke me up."

5768 Will Be A Year Of Momentum!

The year ahead will not only be a year to begin a fresh season in your life, but 5768 will be a year when the Body of Christ gains momentum. An object with momentum is difficult to stop. To stop such an object, it is necessary to apply a force against its motion for a given period of time. The more momentum which an object has, the less likely to stop its forward motion. Thus, it would require a greater amount of force or a longer amount of time (or both) to bring an object with more momentum to a halt.

As the force acts upon the object for a given amount of time, the object's "velocity" is changed. When a force acts for a given amount of time, an object's "momentum" changes. If the force acts opposite of the object's motion, it slows the object down. If a force acts in the same direction as the object's motion, then the force speeds the object up. Either way, a force will change the velocity of an object.

This will be a year when forces vie for momentum. God will be moving on us! Will we respond to Him? The enemy forces that we have not resisted will be moving with force to slow down a Kingdom that is advancing in the earth realm. We must bind the strongman's operation and gain access to the spoils. We must start moving as the people of God did when they left Egypt and keep moving until we reach the manifested Promise for this generation. We must not allow the voices of fear, unbelief and doubt to stop us from advancing. There will be three 40-day periods when we overthrow major strongholds that are holding treasures captive.

5768 Will Be A Year Of Impulse!

In physics, force when multiplied by time equals the mass multiplied by the change in velocity. This is known as impulse. Impulse is one body, individual or kingdom working against another. Impulse is the effect of force being communicated. This results in motion. Once things get in motion, they are hard to stop. The Body of Christ will advance with great momentum in the year ahead! Impulse can be very negative. We must know what is driving us. The Holy Spirit must be preeminent in our lives. The year of 5768/2008 will be the year that we are driven to accomplish our desires. This will be a year that supernatural power has access to mankind. We must stay under the influence of the Holy Spirit or else other spirits will drive us to agree with the plans of darkness in the earth.

The violent are taking the Kingdom of Heaven by force. There are certain changes in the earth that have occurred in the last seven years and have created motion that cannot be stopped. The kingdom of darkness must give way to the Kingdom of God that is advancing with new strength. The supernatural power of God being released on His people is creating much motion and change in the earth.

We are under the impulsion or driving force of a King who wants to see change in the world today. We must gain momentum now! As we learn to move in our proper spheres of authority in the earth realm, we will harness God's power and then release that power. The year ahead will be a transforming year for God's people. Once we are transformed, we will see cities, regions and nations changed. Harvest fields that are ripe will be entered with great enthusiasm. Do not let carnal impulses guide you!

God will visit you in time. Be expectant to watch for His coming visitation in your life. We are a people on the move. God has a Kingdom that is within us. The Kingdom of God is advancing. We are moving from fellowship into war. We are moving from praise to jubilation as we see a manifestation of His promises in our life cycle. This is a year of transcending and taking back what has been held in captivity. However, remember Pam's word, "Simplify," to go back and forth with ease until the new is established.

To summarize, this will be the year to "Go through the eye of needle!" Remove all and get through your narrow place and into the new!

Umbilical Cord -Symbolisms

For me. Finding André H. Roosma from the Netherlands was like striking gold. Somehow, our ministries mirror one another and the remarkable thing is that because it is Spirit based -we say and think the same things in spite of being on the opposite side of the world. It illustrates "Border Patrol" perfectly. I will be posting some excerpts –then links to the full essays.

I was drawn to this particular article for several reasons. The first reason was that the Lord had prompted me to pull out an old word picture that He had given me a while back. The second thing was the portions about blessings and joy, which is what Arthur Burk, has been ministering for years, especially to babies in the womb. I was practically dancing across the room. (My spirit, not me, I have no rhythm).

UMBILICAL CORD SPIRIT TO SPIRIT –Glenda Wilson

Recently, the Lord brought this Word Picture back to my attention. A few days later, I was studying the dynamics of attachments and separation. I saw the pain and dysfunction that resulted from a sense of disconnectedness, which can come through many avenues.

Reconnect to Your Father

When a baby is conceived in the heart (womb) of God, it is immediately the offspring of its Maker (who is both its Father and Mother). Within the seed is all that is needed to become a child. It doesn’t need more information or instructions to become “the what and the who” of its destiny.

A child in the womb of an emotionally and physical healthy mother is not anxious or concerned about anything. The baby rests in that confidence and receives all the necessary nutrients ...food, water, oxygen through that connection. It lives, breathes, and has its being through this lifeline. (Acts 17:28 NRSV) For 'In him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your own poets have said, 'For we too are HIS offspring.'

That which comes through this cord has no defilement, just a fresh clean life flow that consistently ministers love, acceptance, nurture and pure joy to the child.

God foreknew the circumstances of our lives. He would not have released us into this world without providing in advance for nurture to our spirit. Though some of us have, felt detached or disconnected from our parents, we always remain connected to our heavenly Father.

Science and the Bible in agreement

Many times, I have seen that scientists discover something, and then one recognizes that God has given us a similar advice in the Bible, thousands of years ago.
This too, is the case with the deep meaning of a joyful, affirming, and proud face of an authority figure.

'The umbilical cord of the soul of the child'

This terminology is given by the well known counseling expert, Leanne Payne, to the smile of a mother towards her baby. By that, she phrases what various well known psychologists have observed: a small child forms his/her identity after the look (the face) of the parents who look at him/her with gladness and affirmation, or who 'mirror' his/her feelings, so rendering them recognizable and expressable ¹. The glad look of father or mother tells the child: "You are accepted! We are glad you are there!" Through that, the child learns to see him/herself as valuable.

And there is more. A child is not born with the ability to recognize or word his/her emotions for what they are. When parents recognize the emotions of their child and mirror them via their own face, the child learns to recognize these emotions instead of being overwhelmed by the unknown. This gives a sort of peace: the strange things felt are not unpredictable and 'strange' but recognizable and identifiable. The child learns that his/her emotions can even be a source for mutual recognition and community and relationship: "I recognize your emotions; I sometimes feel the same things!"

That explains the comparison to the umbilical cord: like the child is nourished and grows physically via the umbilical cord in the pre-natal period, the soul of the child grows via the loving and affirming look of the parents, especially the mother, in the first years of life after birth.

A glad face

By the way, who doesn't know the effect of a glad face? It makes everything lighter. If the person looking glad is an authority figure, the impact sometimes is even bigger. Is that caused by the authority? Is it because we do not expect it from authority figures? Howsoever, the teacher who looks at you with a contented smile, the manager who greets you in the hallway with a happy face - it makes us happy.

The blessing of God's shining face

In regard of the above, I find it remarkable how God taught the priests in the Old Testament to bless the people:

"The LORD make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace." Num.6:25

Perhaps you will say (like I did the first hundred times I read or heard this): "that is rather archaic language: make His face shine... lift His countenance...? What exactly does the Bible mean here?" Well, "shine" reminds me of: "light", as in: "then we received some light on the matter", "suddenly, the light went on", "look at the sunny side". In other words, "a shining face" is related to gladness, getting insight, etc... Actually, it is the extreme opposite of "a gloomy, or clouded face". "Shine" also stands for gladness and contentment. A lifted face (countenance) similarly can be associated with being proud of something or someone, and it is the opposite of a down-cast or dejected face. But isn't what we encounter here the same as what we were talking about above: the glad face of parents towards their child, or of a teacher who is satisfied about a pupil, or a manager who is glad with his staff member?

So, what God taught the priests was: share God's glad face to the people of Israel; pass on His affirming look to them.

God knew that that was exactly what the people needed, what we as humans need to live a happy life. To know: "God, our heavenly Father, looks at us and He is glad with us!" Carefulness urges me to add that He may not be glad about all that we do (sometimes we make a mess of things), but He is glad about us - as the people we truly are (under those layers of varnish of sturdiness and imagined grandiosity). …

Requires connection and relationship

We are going to look at some Word Pictures that illustrate synchronization at its best. Some will be simple and self-explanatory; others show more of the process. In all of the examples, it is clear to see that it requires relationship. In our conversation here, we are talking about two relationships –one is vertical and ant the other is horizontal. We will explore three relationships that illustrate synchronization. –dance partners, the birthing process and learning to know your vehicle.

When we first begin relationships, we can sense apprehension, tension and even a fear of the unknown -perhaps we may be tempted to engage the emergency brake rather than the other person. You see, the Holy Spirit is not restricted by culture, language and other natural boundaries. He knows what the speed limit is and where all the turn lanes and curves are.

Dance Partner –Holy Spirit (vertical)

There is nothing as beautiful as watching graceful dance partners work the floor and the crowd. What did it take for those moves, turns, and spins to be so smooth? Look at them they interact, exchange emotions, and maintain eye contact. Even when they are not face-to-face (in those turns and twists)–she can see his loving gaze, feel His warm embrace. In her heart she can remember what He would like and what would displease Him. There is a place where they do not have to think about the next move –they are so tuned into one another they can sense what the next move should be.

Your dance partner will always be the Holy Spirit, who should always take the lead. You bring that flow into the natural realm –bringing the same anticipation and focus and allow it to flow from Him through you.

If you keep that connection going, you will learn to sense He partners with your spirit to cause the same synchronization with others. It is a learning process. Remember we decided that graceful dance partners must practice.

Birthing Process (horizontal)

We looking at analogies in relationship to the birthing process –spiritual children, and good relationships. The common elements are still wisdom and synchronization (spirit, soul, and body) with the Holy Spirit.

Once a woman has borne and delivered one child, she is stretched and birthing can become easy –even enjoyable. As she matures she, can more easily carry and bear larger children (more difficult relationships). After a few, labor is neither as long nor as painful as it once was. Her body becomes acclimated ...she begins to learn to flow with the order of things that are involved with the birthing process. She learns to cooperate with the labor pains. She learns to maximize her time of rest –to recoup, and focus on making the next one more productive. She trusts that God knows the timing and that the process must take its course. While all births are not exactly the same –the synchronization factor is the common thread and is essential.

Impatience begins to fade. She realizes there is a time and season for the baby to come forth. She begins to realize that the waiting is a time of preparation for her and the child (relationship), but the baby does not. So, she has to not only focus on herself during the process, but also learn to convey a sense of safety and calmness. This requires focus -so she must tune in both to herself and to the baby, realizing that the baby is noticing her emotions even if they are not verbalized.

Her tolerance and strength for carrying and birthing good healthy relationships become unlimited; the second and subsequent babies become easier. She looks forward to the reward of seeing the miracle of birth...seeing the child grow in the likeness of the Father.

The hope here is that you can learn to cooperate with the Holy Spirit to synchronize and build healthy relationships. It does get easier as you go along.

Learning to know your vehicle

Learning to drive a vehicle requires that you establish a relationship of sorts with it. You need to know when the motor or transmission is distressed and malfunctioning. Hey, how’s the timing chain, is it getting spark –are the fuel and filters clean? Are the tires balanced (the word and spirit) and evenly inflated?

You will need to have a firm feel for the way your vehicle performs on different road surfaces - on and off the road. Is the steering sensitive and easy to turn? How much pressure do you need to apply for a quick or slow stop?

Once you establish and understand the relationship with your vehicle, you then have to learn how to work in traffic flow. That is when your actual driving skills are important to consider. Do you know how to shift smoothly or when to change lanes? Can you judge distance? Do you focus too much, on what is behind rather than what is ahead? If in doubt, practice with someone you trust and ask them to review your driving skills.

Oh, by the way you also have to watch the other drivers. If these other things are in place, it will be easier.

We see in this, that your spirit, soul and body have to be tuned-up (synchronized and in touch with one another) so that you are not distracted by a malfunctions, confusion or conflict from within yourself. Then the focus can be on the traffic flow. Of course, we have already chosen the designated driver –the Holy Spirit.

What would it look like on Monday?

If you have to drive in tense situations, try to select your peak performance cycle. People tend to fall into one or a combination of linear, cyclical or pulse. I am primarily cyclical I usually don’t drive until after 11 AM.

Here is what I would picture as a perfect trip (interacting in ministry, shopping, business, correspondence).

I always loved driving a standard 4 or 5 in the floor so evidently that love served to enhance the picture. I especially love speed shifting because I can accelerate or slow down without braking so much. We (the person and me) are in open top vehicles.

Beginning in the mercy gear, I would ride alongside for a while getting a feel for their vehicle. Listening for signs of distress or malfunction in their vehicle, because I would not concerned with mine –it is tuned and ready for the journey.

Even though the two vehicles always seem to be side by side, I would sense that prophet is scouting the road ahead for debris or traps that an enemy might have set.

Then I would be able to sense a shifting, sometimes downshifting, or a shifting into overdrive, which result in:

     A gentle or strong nudge (perhaps exhorter –hard to tell –the nudge feels different at times),
     Clarity or reigning in focus (teacher or prophet –again a little different at times),
     Or pitching a hot potato inside the car (definitely the prophet -backing off to allow them to digest it.)
    Then shift quickly to the appropriate gear and re-engaging as if nothing happened just then.

All the while, there should be a synchronizing and a sensing how the other vehicle will respond to mine without having to think about it. Now notice that the ruler and the servant did not show up so much because this is an illustration of a quick –short road trip. I am not inclined to take this illustration to that level. I want you to remember is that none of us is perfect. It is in God ordained relationships that we find insight and answers. While you may not have it together in your own life, God’s grace will show up for the sake of others. If you slow down and listen, the Holy Spirit will do the shifting until you can have some diagnostics. Later we will discuss some things involved in an overhaul or tune-up.

Self-Directed Inner Healing (Bowman Model)

Lately, people have been asking me about how to perform self-directed inner healing. The people asking are settled Christians who are familiar with inner healing principles, so the following tips are designed with them in mind. I pray these guidelines will be helpful.

When a bad fruit is presenting in your life, set aside some time and enter the presence of the Lord by faith. Ask some questions about that fruit. Be specific. Here's some sample questions: Lord, is this fruit (situation; problem; pattern) an inner healing issue? Is it a prayer burden? Or is it a simple demonic attack?

If the answer is a prayer burden or demonic attack, ask either for a prayer strategy or for the weapon(s) that will bring victory and proceed under the direction of Holy Spirit.

If the answer is inner healing, then narrow your questions: What is the root of these feelings, beliefs, and fears? You may find it helpful deliberately to stir up the emotions you feel when confronted with the situation. Trouble the waters, so to speak. Ask: When is the first time I felt this way?

If you find it confusing or difficult at this point, you might find it helpful to objectify the self-directed session in this way:

Pretend you are a prayer minister and someone has come to you with a problem. Let's say that her problem is just like yours. That is the bad fruit. As her prayer minister, you know to track that fruit to the root or beginning. So you ask Holy Spirit to take you to the root of the problem. The root will be a judgment about the self, about God, about others (either father authority or mother authority - those who are supposed to take care of us) or life itself.

Listen in the spirit. Pay attention to what you hear, see, feel, know in your knower and, especially, to the impressions you receive.

Sometimes, the Lord will show a video of himself doing some sort of terrible thing. Automatically, we want to shut that down, but try not to do that. Here's why. I often I find that the Lord is revealing what we believe about him in the dark hidden places of our heart. For example, we may see him touching us inappropriately. Have we been sexually abused? Does our heart fear that the Lord is like our abuser? We need to know that so we can be healed, because it is with the heart that we believe. Romans 10:10

Once the judgment is revealed, ask Holy Spirit for truth and healing. Spend some time there receiving healing for those wounds. They are real hurts and they need healing. Then repent of your judgments and receive forgiveness. You may pronounce forgiveness over yourself.

I have found that all judgments find their way back to God. The heart does not differentiate between persons. All male authority is The Man In Charge and all female authority is The Woman In Charge. So if we judged our fathers for being harsh, then our hearts will view the Lord as a harsh father. That is, we will until that judgment is released.

Next, ask Holy Spirit to reveal the inner vows taken.

We take inner vows to protect ourselves from a perceived threat. For example: Judgment - The woman in authority is weak and cannot protect me. Vow - Therefore, I will protect myself by going away. Break or renounce the inner vow. Accept the Lord's protection and repent of turning to a false protector.

Look for a possible demon helper - a false guardian spirit that "helps" us protect ourselves. In the case of the above example, a demon(s) may "help" through isolation, false independence, self-reliance or another sinful method. In more serious cases, where the abuse is extreme, the demon(s) may help us dissociate.

Renounce all demonic help and protection and send it (them) to the feet of Jesus for judgment. Ask the Lord to give you holy helpers, either himself or his holy beings, to fill the empty places that the demon(s) occupied. I ask the Lord to send what is appropriate to those places.

Self-directed inner healing is a great way to practice your inner healing skills. After all, you always have yourself. Personally, I have yet to find the end of what needs to be healed in me.

Yes. It usually is very helpful to have another person along side for inner healing, but that is not always possible or always essential.

I contacted Sue Bowman as a result of some posts that she had on some forums that Arthur Burk has going on his site. I felt a kindred spirit with her. When we began talking about another subject, I discovered a wealth of treasure in her in the area of inner healing. REGARDING PREGNANCY

I recommend that your friend buy the Baby Blessings teachings on CD, the Spirit Blessings book and the Pure Joy blessings book to get her started blessing her baby, if she is pregnant. Her husband is the best person to bless the child. He can simply call the baby's spirit to listen to him "Child, this is your father. I call your spirit to listen as I bless you." Then he can read a blessing from one of the books, or a blessing from the Bible (Psalms) over the child's spirit. link to materials

The next thing I would do is have her buy the DVD series on Nurturing the Human Spirit. That will bring her up to speed.

If the father is not available, then mom is the next best person. If she has had an abortion or a miscarriage, she should ask the Lord to purify her womb and make it a place of peace and joy for her child. She should do this now even if she is not pregnant.

Mom needs to intentionally speak welcome and comfort the child regardless of its gender.

I recommend she ask the Lord to cut off all generational iniquity from the child and from her womb. The best thing is a thorough generational cleanse, of course, but most of us do not have access to everything we want at this time. We are in a global transition and the tools are being developed. Frustrating, I know, but the Lord knew when he designed our spirit that we would be launched into a time of transition, so He has equipped you, Glenda, and your friend with what you need to accomplish your mission here on the earth.

I am including some models for inner healing. Remember to always lean on Holy Spirit.
